Another glorious day greeted the Heritage Cup contenders with some closely fought matches and certainly a closer overall result.
Congrats to the Gropes on another successful campaign and “ yes “ JK’s head is about as big as it can get!
A couple of injury reports from the weekend matches.
Smeg - playing second shot on 2 nd hole feels a tearing sensation in his shoulder. He perseveres to the end of the 6th hole before having to pull out !
Prognosis - Not good
Andy - started the day with a twinge in his lower back. Back brace strapped on stretching beforehand talking constantly . Warm up completed!
Braved it out until he couldn’t win and then made an early exit via 16, 17 and 18 to Joe’s medicine cabinet ( the esky )
Prognosis - week to week
Not a lot to report on due to everyone making their way to Joes house for the A G M. A few of us hung around because we knew things were tight in the match scores. I was sitting with Chaz, Cuz and Dom when Cuz asked me what the result of the first group was. I said “ Joe beat Tampo and Jk beat Fint “ with a slight pause I continued with “ if that’s not
it’s the other way around because it was a win to each team “
Cuz replied with “ thanks for the informative information Bruce “ with a rile smile on his face. While Chaz just looked at me with complete astonishment!
Another successful AGM followed with the usual confusion ,swearing and at times a lot of laughter.
Thanks to Joe and Paula for hosting.
